THE CERRADO

The Cerrado, a massive nature area in Brazil. The Cerrado is scarcely known outside of South America, covering an area of two million square kilometers. It's a rugged region with plateaus and waterfalls, offering views of endless plains. A place with forests, swamps, and open grasslands.

To meet the growing demand for agricultural products, humanity is destroying nature at an alarming rate. More than half of the Cerrado has already vanished, and 5000 acres are lost every day. This makes it one of the most endangered ecosystems on Earth.

The Netherlands ranks in the top 5 European countries contributing to deforestation. Together with the rest of Europe, we are responsible for a third of deforestation. Change is needed. that's why. we, Foresta Verde, will dedicate ourselves to this project.
